Ses Rotes
Ses Rotes is located on edge of the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana in a south facing direction. At a slightly higher altitude & with the prevailing sea breeze down the valley, the temperature is a few degrees cooler than the more traditional wine areas of Mallorca.
The Pinot Noir vines sit on the highest part of the estate, at 160 metres, in an amphitheatre formed by mountains and trees. The lower, flatter areas of the valley, at an altitude of 140 metres above sea level, are home to the other varieties – a mixture of indigenous, Mediterranean and International varieties: Callet, Garnacha, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc. In total, Ses Rotes covers 5,8 hectares of vineyards on fertile soils.
The careful management of vines and grapes follows the guidelines of ecological agriculture. However, the estate does not have the organic seal due to the proximity of the emblematic avenue of palm trees that characterises the estate.
